Applying Economic Lenses and Local Perspectives to Improve Humanitarian Aid Delivery in Yemen
The project looks at humanitarian aid from an economic lens and generates innovative options and mechanisms for the aid-economy intersection from the perspective of maximizing the economic impact of aid, through research based on nuanced conversations between humanitarian, development and economic actors reflective of the ground realities. It emphasises proactive engagement with both Yemeni and international actors and amplifying Yemeni voices and insights.

Supporting Arab Women at the Table (SAWT)
This project aimed to increase women’s inclusion in political and peace processes in the MENA region and their ability to influence their outcomes, establish post-conflict gender egalitarian frameworks, and contribute to the long-term success of post-conflict reconciliation and reconstruction. The project created new venues and mechanisms for cross-regional, intergenerational, cross sectoral exchange as well as coalition-building for the purpose of shared learning and collective action planning. It also created a forum for South-to-North exchange and provided unique opportunities for women from the MENA region to exchange ideas and experiences with key individuals and institutions in the EU. Supporting Broader Inclusion and Participation in the Yemeni Peace Process
The project seeks to support an inclusive negotiated solution and contribute to long-term sustainable peace in Yemen by ensuring inclusion of, and support to, key constituencies for peace. The project strives for broader inclusion and participation in decision making processes in Yemen. It supports the efforts made by the Office of the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General for Yemen towards a negotiated solution to the conflict in Yemen. The project is implemented by a consortium formed by Crisis Management Initiative (CMI) and the Sana’a Center for Strategic Studies. It is funded by the EU.

Examining the Impact of Yemen’s Conflicts on Yemeni Minorities
This project will produce a series of seven situation reports, each focusing on one minority or marginalized community. In the first stage of the project (2020) these reports will focus on the Baha’i community and the Muhamasheen community. Each policy report will present a history and overview of the community, including its social and economic situation; a gendered analysis of the community’s experience of the war; its access to basic services and/or humanitarian aid; displacement during the war; and fulfilment and violations of the community’s social, political and economic rights. The Yemen Review
The Yemen Review is a quarterly publication produced by the Sana’a Center for Strategic Studies. Launched in June 2016 as Yemen at the UN, it identifies and assesses contemporary diplomatic, economic, political, military, security, humanitarian, and human rights developments related to Yemen. Rethinking Yemen’s Economy
This project works to positively influence the agendas of local, national, regional, and international policymakers and engages in economy-related conflict resolution. Yemen Media Call (YMC)
The Yemen Media Call is the Sana’a Center’s online version of the Yemen Media Breakfast that was launched in 2015 in Beirut to increase the quality and depth of international news coverage regarding Yemen and the surrounding region. Due to COVID-19, the Center relaunched the program in September 2020 and changed its name to the Yemen Media Call.
